John Young - (South East TV Newsreader and Reporter)

Compere and Speaker

"Getting It Done By Lunchtime"

In uncertain economic times, we need to be more nimble than ever when it comes to quick decision making and meeting sudden deadlines. John knows all about that — for nearly thirty years, he’s worked in the cauldron of BBC newsrooms, often being given a news story to chase at 10am, and having it checked, written and edited by 1.30pm. His keynote Getting It Done By Lunchtime will have you on the edge of your seat — and leave you with takeaways you can implement yourself next time you face a sudden deadline.

Richard McCann - Founder of the iCanSpeak Academy

"Overcoming Adversity"

Brought up on the ‘At Risk’ register until his mother died tragically when he was aged five, Richard then went on a downward spiral.  Foster homes, children's home and then a violent upbringing by his estranged father took away any self esteem that he had.  He left school with no qualifications and was kicked out of the army for psychological reasons before he turned to drugs to ease his depression.  After making some serious mistakes, Richard hit rock bottom where he considered taking his life.  It was at this point that he found the gut wrenching determination to turn his life around and fight for a better future.  That turn around has been remarkable.  Now married with a family of his own, three books about his life being published, and a much sought after inspirational speaker.  His presentation centres on the way in which he has turned, what can only be described as insurmountable odds, to his favour and has shaped a more positive life for himself.  It’s one that most people don’t forget in a hurry.

Linda Moir - Linda Moir - Head of Events Services, London Olympics 2012

"Delivering Outstanding Customer Service to your Clients & your Team"

An expert in HR and customer service, Linda Moir headed the London 2012 dream team that delivered outstanding front of house service by 15,000 volunteer Games Makers to 9 million spectators, resulting in one of the most successful Olympic and Paralympic Games in history. Previously, she was Virgin Atlantic’s Director of In Flight Services, responsible for the airline’s award winning service and ‘making flying fun’.

Julie Baker - Head of Enterprise and Community Finance at NatWest & RBS
