The sky's the limit for summer with 80 jobs at Gatwick Airport

Search Consultancy is currently recruiting up to 80 new staff to work at Gatwick Airport.

The drive is part of Search's ongoing recruitment campaign for the UK's second-largest airport as its busiest time of the year approaches.

The recruitment specialist is looking for staff for a range of positions, from personal care assistants and cleaners to ramp staff, working across the airport's terminals.

Personal care assistants help passengers who are wheelchair-bound or have mobility issues and need special assistance to travel through the airport safely and confidently. Meanwhile ramp staff will be responsible for lifting bags on and off the ramps and making sure the process goes smoothly.

Margaret Phillips, who is leading the recruitment drive, said the jobs provided a fantastic opportunity to experience the unique and vibrant working environment of one of Europe's busiest airports at a very exciting time of year.

She said: "Gatwick is a fantastic place to work, particularly for those who enjoy a thriving atmosphere amongst lots of people.

"It's a busy environment where there are plenty of working hours available for those who want to work hard and earn as much money as possible.

"We are looking out for reliable and hard-working candidates who we know will thrive in these roles. We welcome applications for anyone within reach of the airport."

Search has already recruited across managerial, operational, ancillary, manual and customer service sectors. Roles have included general managers and team leaders, laundry staff, airline catering staff, baggage handlers, flight dispatchers, airside drivers, de-icers, passenger service agents, ticket agents, special assistance customer service agents and airline cabin crew.

Candidates for the personal care, cleaner and ramp staff positions should have experience of face-to-face contact with customers and of providing excellent customer service.

Applicants must provide five years' worth of checkable references in order to pass the stringent security checks in place for airport employees.
