British Airways Run Gatwick announces partnership with Ambra Recruitment

20 Feb 2018

The organisers of British Airways Run Gatwick have announced that Ambra Recruitment will be an official partner of the inaugural event which takes place on Sunday 13th May 2018.

The team at Ambra will act as ambassadors for the Corporate 5K event, offering inspiration for other businesses in the area to get involved. Ambra will be hosting the exclusive corporate VIP area on the day and also entering its own team into the Corporate 5K to showcase fitness in the workplace.

As a recruitment consultancy focused exclusively on providing businesses in Surrey and Sussex with premium professional talent, Redhill-based Ambra is an ideal partner for the British Airways Run Gatwick Corporate 5K. Dealing with many different companies and professionals on a daily basis, Ambra is very aware of the importance of a healthy workforce and the many physical and mental benefits that exercise can bring.

The Corporate 5K is a perfect opportunity for businesses in the area to get active, promote corporate wellbeing and have fun as a team working towards a common goal. It is a distance that even the busiest people can train for and, with nearly three months until race day, it is a feasible goal for those new to running. Improved fitness, higher morale, increased efficiency, better focus and reduced stress are just some of the benefits companies can expect to see among employees taking part in the event. It is also an excellent opportunity to fundraise for a chosen cause.

A trophy will be awarded to the fastest small team and the fastest large team, and for any business it will be a huge honour to win the very first British Airways Run Gatwick Corporate 5K.

The corporate VIP area hosted by Ambra will offer post-race food and drinks, a relaxed seating area, private toilets, a changing area and free massages. VIP passes can be purchased when buying company places for the Corporate 5K.

Alastair Cleland, Managing Director of Ambra, commented, “As a team, here at Ambra we are big believers in the importance of keeping fit and healthy. We are delighted to be the official ambassadors of The British Airways Run Gatwick Corporate 5K and are looking forward to encouraging businesses across the region to get involved. Businesses can – and should – play a key role in promoting and facilitating healthy lifestyles among their employees. An event like this allows businesses to support staff to get fit. It’s a chance for employees to challenge themselves, stay healthy and raise funds for valuable causes.

The great thing is that everyone can get involved, regardless of ability. Ambra team members will be taking part in the Corporate 5K, International Half Marathon and Family Run and raising funds for local foundation Oliver’s Wish.”

Race Director Dave Kelly added, “We are thrilled to have Ambra Recruitment on board. As a business with extensive business connections across the region, they are an ideal partner for British Airways Run Gatwick and will form a key part of the pre-event outreach programme.”

In addition to the Corporate 5K, British Airways Run Gatwick comprises an International Half Marathon, 5K and Family Run. Together these races will encourage runners of all ages and abilities to get active and enjoy the experience of running through the towns and beautiful West Sussex countryside around Gatwick Airport.

The 2018 British Airways Run Gatwick takes place on Sunday 13th May and entries are now open.
