Vail Williams acknowledged for putting its people and clients first

Property adviser Vail Williams LLP is celebrating a string of accolades in recognition of its commitment to people development and client service.
Following on from being named as one of the Best Places to Work in Property and its Investors in People accreditation, Vail Williams won the Commitment to People Development Award at the prestigious Thames Valley Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.
The specialist property agent, which has eight offices across the south of England and in the Midlands, was commended for its dedication to its employees and its inclusive approach to involving staff in achieving the business’s objectives, as well as creating a supportive culture and fun environment which encourages personal development and a good work-life balance.
This followed the firm picking up the Property Client Service Award at the annual Thames Valley Property Awards in May.
Vail Williams clinched the honour in recognition of the outstanding service it delivered to long-term client, Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, during a large-scale planning project at Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot, which includes a new hospital in the Greenbelt and a 230 residential dwelling scheme replacing the existing hospital.
Matthew Samuel-Camps, Managing Partner at Vail Williams, believes the success of the company is down to the people-first culture that is deeply ingrained across all its offices.
He said: “At Vail Williams, we know that our people are our most important asset and that how we treat employees has a direct impact on productivity and business success.
Engaging with our people and creating a supportive environment, which is professionally stimulating whilst also adding an element of fun, is of the utmost important to us. Whether it be through one-on-one mentoring, providing training and development, social activities, flexible benefits system, our CSR program or personal development awards – we have a range of opportunities and benefits available to all of our staff.”
Vail Williams added a further string to its bow when it received Silver accreditation from Investors in People – which is awarded to only the top 5% of organisations and a rare achievement for companies being assessed for the first time.
Property Week also recognised the company as one of the Best Places to Work in Property in 2016. Only 32 firms made the cut which encompasses a wide variety of property-based businesses from developers and investors through to consultants and recruitment companies.
Samuel-Camps added: “Where the culture of a business is open and celebratory, people feel more comfortable, share more ideas, and take more risks to be innovative. I believe this kind of attitude resonates beyond the walls of our offices and has a positive impact on our client relationships, the service we provide and our business as a whole.
“It means a great deal to us when we receive awards and accreditations that recognise our passion for people development, as well as our quality service to clients. This recognition spurs us on to continue to build upon our people-first approach for many years to come.”
