Who's who at Gatwick Diamond Business:
I was delighted to become Chief Executive of Gatwick Diamond Business in October 2018. My background is in economic development and business support, and I have worked extensively in the Gatwick Diamond which has also been my home for over 30 years.
I lead a professional and committed team dedicated to providing the support and services our members value to help sustain and grow their businesses.
I work closely with our Executive Council, chaired by Anya Ledwith, comprising experienced business people who help identify and champion the needs of our members and provide guidance to me and my team to ensure that we deliver the best possible service to members.
I look forward to getting to know our members, prospective members and partners over the coming months.
After eight years at gdb, I am really excited to have moved in to the new role of Operations Manager.
My responsibilities include assisting our Chief Executive in the smooth running of gdb, overseeing the Events programme, managing operational & administrative functions and providing leadership, motivation and support to the team here at gdb.
I look forward to playing my part in the growth and continued success that the gdb Membership brings to the Gatwick Diamond and to the Business Community.
I have been with gdb since July 2016.
My role is all things Membership; from the “2 Rs” (recruitment and retention) to Diamond Magazine to Building Business Connections throughout the gdb community of businesses.
Essentially, I help around 1,400 individuals from approximately 430 members companies to get the most from their membership, whilst recruiting new organisations to add to your diverse network.
I am always here to help and answer any questions about membership, so please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
I joined gdb in June 2019 and already I am really happy to be part of such a great team!
My role includes designing, marketing and delivering our membership events programme with guidance and support from the Operations Manager and Chief Executive. I also work closely with our Membership Executive to ensure a joined-up approach across our membership development and events operations.
I am looking forward to helping with further developing the Events Programme and meeting and working with gdb members.
After completing my A - Levels, I decided I wanted to take the route of an Apprentceship and Gatwick Diamond Business had a great opportunity for me.
I am now part of the fabulous gdb team!
My role is to provide support to the Marketing and Events Programme by assisting, maintaining, researching, designing, creating, and to ensure that the office is running smoothly - and of course to say hello to our Members & Non-Members at our Networking Events!
I hope to not only use my skills I already have, but to pick up more and be a part of the growth and blossoming journey that gdb will have.
Business Administration Apprentice
Since starting as the new Business Administration Apprentice for gdb in July 2019, I have loved being part of such a great team. I enjoyed meeting some of the gdb members at the gdb Charity Challenge 2019 and of course at our many networking meetings, and I am excited for the future events that gdb have planned!
My role involves supporting the smooth running of the office and assisting with the delivery of the membership programme alongside the Membership Executive. Some of my tasks include making outgoing calls to gdb members and non-members, keeping the database up to date, and working alongside the Events Executive with social media plans.
I am eager to bring the skills I have to the team and am ready for the challenge of learning new skills and new processes. I am really looking forward to meeting and working with all the gdb members over the coming months.
