Overview
The last decade has seen the Gatwick Diamond area diversify from being a satellite area for the airport to a burgeoning hub of commerce, stretching lengthwise from London’s outskirts to Brighton, and widthwise from Guildford to Royal Tunbridge. Taking in large parts of West Sussex and Surrey, and with Crawley as an established centre of business, the region is seeing more activity and expansion than ever.
At this breakfast event, we will look at how the Gatwick Diamond has become such an attractive place for businesses – and people – to move to; what prospects there are for further growth in several industries, such as professional & financial services, fintech, ICT, e-commerce, logistics, aviation, aerospace and defence; and how the area’s diversity and history adds to its appeal.
Our panel will also look at what the future holds for the Gatwick Diamond, what new sectors can we expect to rise in this vibrant area, developments in connectivity - such as 55,000 businesses pledging support for Gatwick Airport’s northern runway plans - and what it all means for the people and economy of this exciting region.
Topics of discussion include:
- Durability - how employers and officials can build on the area’s success
- Dynamism - topics including the airport and aviation sector’s plans to expand
- Diversity - celebrating its many economic facets and eclectic mix of industries
- Development - The ongoing regeneration at the Gatwick Diamond Offices sites
We look forward to welcoming you to what is set to be a valuable discussion.
