We’re delighted to share the news that EMW has merged with SP Law in a deal that sees our firms join forces.

Accelerate ambitious growth plans for our people and our clients and provide current SP Law clients with a wider range of services and resources under the EMW umbrella. It’s an exciting time for us, not just because we’re going back to our roots but also because we’re becoming stronger together.

“We’re pleased to be able to announce the merger with SP Law, which will see the firm’s return to Northampton, where it launched back in 1992.”

           James Geary, EMW Managing Partner

At EMW, we're told that we do things differently, in a good way, and we've found shared ambitions, ethos and values with SP Law. Northampton was in fact where it all began for EMW and whilst the last few years have seen us open offices in new places, our heart lies in our home town of Northampton and the wider Northamptonshire area.  Our merger with SP Law sees us once again with a Northampton office, and we couldn’t be more excited.

“We have our roots in Northampton and have been privileged to serve our local community over the past 19 or so years. We look forward to this exciting new chapter for both firms”.

Hassan Shah, Director at SP Law

What it means here at EMW

We are focused on growth – for our people and for our clients, for their businesses and ours. With ambitious plans, we are targeting both organic growth and further complementary mergers. Merging with SP Law is an exciting part of our journey and with our shared values and ambitions, we’re excited to be growing together.

“The deal will allow us to accelerate growth, build market share, ensure we’re investing in innovation and attracting the very best talent. Hassan and Sundip have built a well-established and highly respected firm with the same values and ethos as ours, and we look forward to working together to deliver on our shared ambitions.”

           James Geary, EMW Managing Partner

SP Law adds yet more to our offering. We believe it’s not just what we do, but how we do it that sets us apart. We provide a truly personal service, based on what our clients need, and we won’t waste our clients’ time by getting drawn into any unnecessary legal discussions with lawyers on the other side. We’re interested in doing the right thing for our clients and our teams and doing it well. Fundamentally, we believe people are our strongest asset and it is fantastic to have SP Law as part of the EMW family.
