Let's Go! Net Zero - Sustainable Manufacturing event in Haywards Heath

The road to sustainable manufacturing

Are you a manufacturing business in West Sussex interested in reducing your costs, becoming more efficient, driving down your carbon footprint?

Manufacturing is one of the largest greenhouse gas emitting sectors, accounting for one-fifth of global emissions and over half of the world's energy use (source Normative).

And from food production to tech manufacturing, it's typically energy-intensive and high-cost.

But in every challenge lies opportunity. Many small to medium sized enterprises (SMEs) are making great strides in reducing their carbon footprint and reaping the business benefits.

By adopting sustainable processes, tools, and technologies, they're able to meet legislative, environmental, and ethical standards, win new business, and attract top talent.

At this free event, you'll take a tour of the Adelphi Group of Companies' manufacturing site in Haywards Heath to see how they’ve integrated sustainability into their business, saved money, and improved efficiency.

You'll get under the bonnet of their innovative heating and cooling systems, water management, and onsite renewable energy generation.

You'll also hear from a panel of experienced West Sussex manufacturing businesses about how they're making sustainability work for their bottom line.

There will be canapes and drinks and you'll get the opportunity to connect with industry experts and network with like-minded professionals.

The panel will include:

Rachel Birrell-Gray, Adelphi will be giving a behind the scenes tour of the factory facility, highlighting the measures taken to create energy efficiencies – including onsite generation that is helping to reduce their carbon emissions.

Ken Oake, Edwards Vacuum will share how bringing sustainability into their R&D/design process is helping thousands of businesses to have a lower impact on the environment.

James Budd, Design Packaging will tell his company’s story of replacing materials in their supply chain in order to offer sustainable options at no additional cost to their customers, which has been great for business as well as the planet.

Who's it for?

If you’re a manufacturing business in West Sussex and you want to learn how you can tackle sustainability and reap the business benefits, then this event is for you!
