Businesses across Sussex are being invited to play a direct role in protecting local wildlife with the launch of new business membership tiers from Sussex Wildlife Trust.
The new structure introduces three levels of membership — Bronze (£120 per year), Silver (£500 per year) and Gold (£1,000 per year) — enabling organisations of all sizes to support nature recovery across Sussex.
All memberships are flexible and can be tailored to suit each business, with funds supporting the Trust’s vital work to protect landscapes, restore habitats and engage more people in wildlife conservation across Sussex.
Tim Smart, Head of Fundraising at Sussex Wildlife Trust, said: “We like to have conversations with each business to understand their goals and find the best fit — whether that’s a membership package or a more bespoke partnership.
“We’re keen to build long-term relationships with businesses that want to make a tangible impact to support Sussex wildlife. Membership is a fantastic way to demonstrate your commitment to protecting our local environment.”
Bronze membership offers an accessible entry point for freelancers and sole traders, while Silver and Gold provide options for organisations looking to deepen their support.
Gold membership also provides opportunities for more hands-on involvement, including ‘Wild Work Days’ where teams of up to 15 can spend a day volunteering at one of the Trust’s nature reserves.
Ranging from land management to beach cleans, these sessions offer a practical way for businesses to support conservation, while boosting employees’ wellbeing with time spent outdoors in nature too.
All business members receive a membership pack including a certificate and reserves guide and are recognised on the Sussex Wildlife Trust website. They also feature in and receive a copy of the Trust’s Wild Sussex magazine, published twice a year, and receive a quarterly Wild at Work e-newsletter.
