Part 1 - Social Media Strategy

Who should attend this course?

If you are a business owner or you are responsible for social media marketing then this is the course you need. It will help you structure and focus your efforts on social media ensuring they relate to the wider business and marketing goals of your organisation. If you're struggling to work out which platforms to use and how to make the most of them then this is the course for you.
Why is Social Media Strategy Important?

"We don't have a choice on whether we do social media, the question is how well we do it?"

 Erik Qualman

With 2.8 billion people using social media at the end of 2016, a 21% increase from 2015*, you cannot ignore it's marketing power. With almost everyone now having a smartphone you can reach people instantly, anywhere by harnessing the power of social media. But without a strategy or a plan, how do you know you are in the right place communicating the right message in the right way? And all those users have the opportunity to interact with your business so you need a strategy to deal with comments from your audience.

What you will learn:

You will learn which social media platforms to leverage for your business that will provide the best return on investment for your particular industry. You will know what to monitor on the platforms and how to deal with complaints and comments. You will leave the course with a social media strategy plan for your own business which you will be able to start putting into action straightaway.

Part 2 - Social Media Content

Who should attend this course?

Anyone responsible for generating social media content for businesses. If you're sitting in front of the blank status box and are unsure what to write then this is the course you need. We'll focus on writing for social media which is different to writing for anything else. You'll learn what to post, how to post it and how to engage your audience.

Why is social media content important?

"No amount of paid media is going to turn bad creative into good content.'

  • Gary Venynerchunk

With the majority of adults taking to social media to research businesses and ask for recommendations, you need to ensure your content is in line with your brand and communicating the right messages about your business. You need to be engaging and nurturing your audience so they when they are ready to buy the product or service you offer it's your business they choose to deal with. So you must ensure your content is as good as it can possibly be in order to resonate with your clients and prospective clients.

What you will learn:

You'll learn why people interact with content on social media and how to make yours engaging and interesting. You'll understand why people share on the platforms and how you can leverage this to increase your brand awareness. You will know why you are creating certain types of content based on the results you want to achieve. Finally, you'll create your own personalised content calendar to use in your business from month to month, day to day ensuring your content works it's hardest for you.
