The growth of Sussex's friendliest managed IT provider.

In just one year, Tom Holloway has launched a successful IT business and has grown it from a small office, which he shared with a friend, to an established managed IT services provider. So, what makes KBC different from all the other IT companies out there?

Unlike a lot of other companies, KBC aim to explain IT in a way that people understand. There is a strong emphasis on not using 'technical jargon' and working with clients to find common ground to explain things in a way that you or I would understand. In Tom's own words "My thinking is you shouldn't need a robotics degree to understand IT, it's about using the right building blocks to build up a customer's understanding and just talking to people, like real people." The refreshing approach to IT is a breath of fresh air to many business owners, who until previously didn't have a strong understanding of their IT systems.

After losing his job in June 2017, Tom, who has 15 years' experience in IT, decided to set up his own business after being spurred on by hearing how many clients were being told 'no' to their IT issues. Tom set up KBC with the strong belief that everything should be simple, clear and easy to understand, no matter what the technical level. It was this business model, which quickly saw him being snapped up with work across the South East.

KBC now offer remote IT support, help desk support, emergency call outs, IT maintenance, servicing, software advice and installation and more. So, what's next for the IT service provider?

"My goal is ultimately to keep to the same company ethos. I am fully aware not everyone knows computers. If they were they wouldn't need our services. It is this ethos, which I strongly believe will continue to drive us forward in winning new clients."
