St Catherine's ready to launch HeART to Heart!

St Catherine's Hospice will launch their first ever community art trail, HeART to Heart, next week! After almost two years of planning, preparation and excitement, the local charity's brand new trail is ready to wow the local community.

HeART to Heart, headline sponsored by Thakeham, features twenty six beautiful fibreglass hearts, each one designed by a local artist and sponsored by a local business.

Robert Boughton, Group Managing Director of Thakeham said, "We're thrilled to be the headline sponsor for HeART to Heart, a fantastic, new event for our local area. We've been really impressed with the stunning designs created by local artists and we can't wait to see them out on the streets next week. We hope the trail is a big success for St Catherine's!"

Throughout the ten weeks the hearts are in-situ, the local community will be invited to follow the trail, and join in a range of family friendly, creative activities. Activities will include exciting projects hosted by HeART to Heart artists, such as a giant doodle and daily origami workshops in Swan Walk, Horsham.

Alongside the main trail, there will also be a trail of wire hearts, designed by local young people, in community venues. A free interactive mobile app and trail map will encourage people to visit each heart to unlock its secrets. Following the end of the 10 week trail, St Catherine's will be hosting a Secret HeART exhibition and an exclusive auction to raise further funds for the hospice.

HeART to Heart, which has been supported by local author, Peter James and Professor Brian Cox, OBE, will raise vital funds for St Catherine's. Hannah Liles, Event Project's Fundraiser at St Catherine's, said: "We're so excited that after a lot of hard work, HeART to Heart is ready to launch! This project is hugely important to us all and we hope that our local community will fall in love with our beautiful hearts. At St Catherine's, we can currently only care for one in three people with a terminal illness in our community. But by supporting our trail this summer you'll be helping make sure we can be there for more local people. So download our free trail app, pick up a map and get ready to follow your heart! And don't forget to share your adventures on our St Catherine's Hospice social media channels. We'd love to see them and hear which of our artists' hearts have captured your heart."

The local hospice is also currently looking for HeART to Heart ambassador volunteers to help tell others about the trail and trail activities. This is a fun way to engage with your local hospice and community. If you're interested in volunteering, the team would love to hear from you.
