Coworking space Freedom Works have teamed up with their former members Shadow Foundr to become a Gateway Organisation for the government’s Kickstart Scheme. The Kickstart Scheme provides funding to employers to create job placements for 16 to 24 year olds on Universal Credit. The government will fund 100% of the relevant National Minimum Wage for 25 hours per week for 6 months, £1500 is also available per placement to support and train the young person.

Originally becoming Gateway Organisations to help the members of their space consisting of SMEs and startups, they realised they could be helping rebuild the economy by branching out to anyone in need. Freedom Works are now offering to be a Gateway Organisation to anyone seeking to find new employees through the scheme and the best thing is they are offering this service free of charge!
