Be a Christmas Star this year ! - Rockinghorse Children's Charity

We have launched our Christmas appeal - to bring Christmas to children in hospitals all over Sussex.

This Christmas we are asking our supporters to be a Rockinghorse Christmas Star - and help to bring Christmas to children and their families in hospital.

On 15 December we will be lighting up the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital with a spectacular starry sky projection to show children that we are thinking of them this Christmas and to wish them and their families a very Merry Christmas. To help us do this, I'm asking you to sponsor a star to be included in this spectacular display.

Spending time in hospital over Christmas isn't fun for anyone, but it's even worse for children and their families - not being able to savour the excitement of seeing Santa, missing out on spending time with your family or not being able to share Christmas dinner together. Rockinghorse make sure that's not the case. We deliver advent calendars and gifts to children in hospital, organise Christmas parties (with Santa in tow of course!), and we provide Christmas meals and hampers to help children and their families feel more at home during their stay in hospital.

We do all this on top of our usual support - the lifesaving medical equipment, the spaces that help children feel more at home, the ground-breaking medical research, the activities to support children to get better faster and the additional staff to ensure children get the best possible care when they are unwell. Because at Rockinghorse Children's Charity we care about every child.

See more information here about the various ways you can support us and Be a Rockinghorse Christmas Star this year. Your support will mean that children get to enjoy Christmas, despite being in hospital.
