Property consultancy Vail Williams has made a further staff appointment on the South Coast as part of its expansion strategy.
Matt Wakeman, Associate, who will work out of the firm's offices at Lakeside North Harbour in Portsmouth and Crawley in West Sussex, was previously with Oakley Property in Brighton for 11 years.
Property valuations will be Matt's focus at Vail Williams, particularly in Sussex and the surrounding area.
Russell Miller, newly-promoted Regional Managing Partner, South Coast, said: "As part of our expansion strategy, Matt has joined us an Associate within the Valuation team.
"He is primarily responsible for providing valuations of commercial property in all main sectors, including industrial, office, retail and mixed-use developments, together with valuations of residential property."
Matt, who completed a Land Management Degree at the University of Portsmouth, said: "I have worked in the property industry since 1999, originally as a residential agent before running of an office for an independent agency firm.
"I moved into the commercial sector in 2005 working as a commercial agent and graduate surveyor, dealing with commercial sales, lettings, acquisitions and business transfers, before qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor and Registered Valuer, providing valuations on a wide range of commercial and residential property and land, as well as advising both landlord and tenants in relation to commercial property rent reviews and lease renewals.
"This is an exciting time to be joining Vail Williams and I look forward to delivering for clients in and around Sussex."
The appointment is the latest by the firm on the South Coast - Oliver Hockley joined as a Property Surveyor working out of Portsmouth.
In Bournemouth, Ben Duly, a Senior Surveyor working for the firm's Investment and Agency Departments, joined a former Goadsby Commercial colleague, Bryony Solan, an Associate who has been with Vail Williams since last year.
