PDT Solicitors advises Etal (UK) Limited on its acquisition of AGW Electronics

Having advised Etal (UK) Limited (a member of the KAMIC Group) on its acquisition of Dorset based Avon Magnetics in March, we are delighted to have provided legal support and assistance on its latest acquisition of Derbyshire based AGW Electronics, one of the leading UK manufacturers of customised wound magnetic components.

"Thank you to the PDT team for all their hard work in getting this transaction over the line. To allow a smooth handover of the business, it was important to us that the transaction completed at a month end. PDT took this request on board and ensured we were in a position to complete by the deadline set. We look forward to working with PDT on our next acquisition."
Dan Phelan, Head of Business Area Magnetics at Kamic Group

AGW is a family run business which was set up in 1975 and operates from a purpose built 30,000 sq ft production facility in Staveley. AGW employs over 60 employees and has annual sales of approximately £5million. The company has a broad customer base and over the years has built long-term relationships with customers in industry sectors such as aviation, telecommunications, audio, military and automotive.
As a result of the acquisition, AGW Electronics becomes part of KAMIC Group's Magnetics business area led by Dan Phelan. Dan said: "AGW has strong skills in the design, development and production of wound magnetic components and the company enjoys a high level of trust among its many customers. AGW will therefore be a valuable addition to our existing operations in the business area".
The PDT team was led by Noel Ruddy assisted by Sian Webber (Corporate), Victoria Jackson (Corporate), Laura McMaster (Employment), Chehraz Fox (Real Estate), Ian Lindley (Commercial) and Faye Griffith (Commercial).
Sian commented: "We were delighted to be asked to assist the KAMIC team on its latest acquisition. With the support of KAMIC, I am sure that AGW will continue to go from strength to strength. We wish them every success."
