Each year Carers Rights Day brings organisations together to help carers in the local community know their rights and find out how to get the help and support they are entitled to.
This year, Carers Rights Day is on Thursday 19 November and poses the question: ‘Someone you know is a carer, but do they know it yet?’ Because knowing you're an unpaid carer is the first step to knowing your rights and getting the support you are entitled to.
Carers Support West Sussex is funded to help local employers identify and support unpaid carers in their workforce earlier, equip managers with the confidence to have supportive conversations, and reduce avoidable pressures on staff wellbeing, attendance, and retention.
As caring responsibilities continue to affect more people of working age, this is becoming an increasingly important workforce issue for employers to consider.
If you are an employer or an employee with caring responsibilities, come join one of our free online trainings on Tuesday, 17th November or in person events at Crawley Library on Thursday, 19th November.
Booking is required.
