Passengers across London and the South East will benefit from a new direct service to Paris, with Air France set to expand its UK network through the launch of a new service between London Gatwick and Charles de Gaulle.

As of 29 March 2026, the flag carrier – named Best Airline in Western Europe at the 2025 Skytrax Awards - will operate two flights per day with the Airbus A220, offering passengers greater access to the French capital, as well as its global network of nearly 170 destinations across 73 countries, via its Paris hub.

Jonathan Pollard, Chief Commercial Officer, London Gatwick said:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Air France to London Gatwick, giving passengers more choice for direct flights to Paris and seamless access to Air France’s global network.

“This addition, alongside other major carriers recently announced, underlines the strong demand for London Gatwick slots from the world’s leading airlines as the airport continues to grow.”

Jérôme Salemi, General Manager, Air France-KLM UK & Ireland said:

“We are delighted to announce our new London Gatwick to Paris Charles de Gaulle service, further strengthening our commitment to the UK market. We look forward to welcoming London Gatwick customers on board our flights and sharing the very best of Air France’s service, comfort and innovation.”

Passengers connecting to intercontinental flights via Paris can also benefit from Air France’s latest cabin innovations and signature French service:

  • Refined dining: While all passengers enjoy complimentary champagne on long-haul flights, passengers travelling in Premium, Business and La Première are treated to gourmet menus crafted by renowned French Michelin-starred chefs
  • New Business Class suite: Featured on selected Boeing 777 and Airbus A350 aircraft, the redesigned Business cabin offers privacy doors, direct aisle access, lie-flat beds and an upgraded entertainment system with larger HD screens
  • La Première (First Class): Available on selected flights, the new La Première suite spans over five windows and includes a spacious seat and chaise longue that converts into a true two-meter-long bed

Members of Flying Blue, the loyalty programme of the Air France-KLM Group, now benefit from complimentary Wi-Fi across the Air France fleet. High-speed Wi-Fi will be available on 30% of aircraft by the end of 2025, with the full fleet equipped by end-2026.

London Gatwick recently announced Jet2 – one of the UK’s largest airlines – will start flying from the airport in March 2026, with 29 routes on offer. Air Arabia will also be flying twice daily to Sharjah, UAE, from March while German carrier Condor has secured slots and will be flying three times a day to Frankfurt from next April.
