Sussex entrepreneur and business mentor David Mellor is revealing his sales secrets later this year in a series of seminars at the Hickstead Hotel, Bolney.
David, who is an honorary senior visiting fellow at Cass Business School, said he was staging the "Adaptive Selling Workshops" to help people who are new to undertaking sales activities as part of their job.
"Sales isn't rocket science but it can certainly seem so when you're getting started," David said. "There are a lot of myths that I try to dispel so people can get to grips with selling and start converting opportunities with prospective clients and existing customers into success stories. Being a good business person is really about becoming self-aware. By continually refining and honing your skills, you can achieve great results."
The half-day workshop is the latest in a series of David's successful sales seminars, which he has run for more than three years. Attendees will learn how to build better relationships with their clients and prospects, receive tips to improve their communication skills, and discover how to overcome any nerves they may have at the different stages of the sales process.
Having spent more than 25 years as a senior executive for two of the world's biggest banks, David is an experienced entrepreneur who set up his own consultancy in 2001. He is a Freeman of the Guild of Entrepreneurs and the celebrated author of several highly-regarded business books. He has written a trilogy of books about starting and growing businesses, and co-authored a book based on interviews with more than 30 successful entrepreneurs from the private, public and voluntary sector.
David Mellor's 'Adaptive Selling Workshop' takes place at 9.00 on Wednesday 27 September at the Hickstead Hotel, with further workshops scheduled for October and November in both Sussex and London. To find out more and book tickets, visit: www.davidmellormentoring.com/events
