Come Along to University of Brighton's Healthy Future Entrepreneurs Cafe!

The University of Brighton has recently restructured its research and enterprise activities framing them into five Futures (See here)

As the Academic Lead for Healthy Futures (See Here), I am in the process of building local networks of social and commercial enterprises in the field of health to promote them as entrepreneurial flagships for the Greater Brighton region, stretching from Brighton to Crawley, Gatwick, Worthing and Seaford. As we enhance the visibility of these enterprises, we also aim to foster synergies among them and, with our academics, to develop innovative methods of prevention and intervention in the field of health. With the endorsement of Councillor Garry Wall, Chairman of Greater Brighton, we are working on an initiative to develop Greater Brighton as a beacon for health innovation and enterprise. We believe that, as a non-profit organisation with a multidisciplinary expertise, our University is in a privileged position to make this happen.

The first entrepreneur café took place in December and the post-event press release can be viewed here

Details of and feedback from delegates is shown on our dedicated webpage

To this end, I would like to invite you to the third Health Entrepreneurs' Brunch taking place at Stanmer House, Brighton http://stanmerhouse.co.uk/  on Friday 28th June from 9:30am to 12:30pm (registration from 9am). This event will bring together academics and local entrepreneurs who, through collaboration, can tackle key societal challenges and make a real difference to our community.

Please feel free to extend this invitation to any local enterprise/stakeholder with a mission in the field of health that you think may be interested in this initiative. We aim to create an opportunity for you to meet our academics with whom, we hope, collaborations can be established.

If you, or any of your contacts are interested in attending please could you confirm your attendance and indicate your area of interest via the following link

If you are unable to attend but would like to be updated regarding future events please contact Susannah Davidson, Knowledge Exchange Manager at s.l.davidson@brighton.ac.uk.
