Local Communities are invited as Ifield Community College will be hosting the first Crawley Schools Eco-Summit!

On Monday 25th November 2019, Ifield Community College will be hosting the first Crawley Schools Eco-Summit.

Ifield Community College will be sponsored by Gatwick Airport and it will be run in conjunction with the E.Y.E Project.

The E.Y.E. Project brings schools in West Sussex together to focus on the importance of caring for our planet.

The Project aims to raise sustainability awareness and encourage young people's interest in the environment. It provides an additional opportunity for the young people within those schools to learn about environmental matters through fun and educational activities available at our Eco-Summit events across West Sussex

The Eco-Summit consists of:

  • A full day of activities, including Key-note speakers,
  • 3 workshops (The workshops will particularly focus on Water and Waste)
  • And an Exhibition in our Atrium of Eco related stands that the students can engage with, providing them with samples and literature, as well as stimulating discussions.

Local Communities are invited who feel they could engage with school age students to contribute to the Eco day, either through a workshop or an exhibition stand.

Anyone interested will need to contact the E.Y.E Project through Karen Hayler KHayler@worthinghigh.net and copy in Kate Evans-Marakis via eye@worthinghigh.net who is the E.Y.E Project Manager for more information.
