Congratulations to Sian Walker and Victoria Jackson who both recently qualified as solicitors having completed the PDT Solicitors trainee programme.

We are delighted to announce that having successfully completed their training contracts with us, Sian will be joining us as a solicitor in our Dispute Resolution team and Vicky will be joining our Corporate team.

Sian and Victoria joined PDT as trainees in September 2019, and since then have successfully completed seats with our employment, corporate & commercial, dispute resolution and real estate teams.

Sian will now continue to develop her interest in property disputes as a member of our dispute resolution team, as well as assisting the team on commercial disputes related to asset based lending and general commercial matters. Sian says "Having trained here for the past two years, I am delighted to qualify at PDT and join the dispute resolution team. I am excited to get involved in both the property and commercial elements of dispute resolution, to develop my practise and to work closely with the team in order to maintain the high standards of client care that the team continually demonstrate."

Gail Morris, Head of property dispute resolution describes Sian as "bright, thorough, calm and client-focused. I am thrilled that Sian is joining our team and look forward to working with her".

Victoria will work in our busy corporate team on a variety of matters including company acquisitions and sales, investments, re-structures and shareholder agreements. Victoria says "I am really excited to continue to work closely with the corporate team, taking on the challenges that face a corporate solicitor and developing my legal skills along the way. Over the course of my training contract, I have been encouraged and inspired by the incredible people I have worked alongside at PDT and I hope to be able to do justice to their insight and advice as I progress in my career at the firm."

Noel Ruddy, Head of corporate says "It's not easy becoming a solicitor these days so congratulations to both Sian and Vicky. Rebecca and I are so pleased that Vicky has agreed to join us. She is incredibly bright, hard working and is a great addition to our corporate team."

The PDT Solicitors training programme not only fulfils the formal 'on the job' training requirements but also helps our trainees decide which area to specialise in, preparing them to be confident, effective solicitors at qualification. The trainee programme runs over two years, with the trainees usually completing four different seats rotating between our Company Commercial, Real Estate and Dispute Resolution teams.

Managing Partner James Clewlow says "We are really lucky to have two such excellent women joining us as solicitors. In these two years with us as trainees they have contributed massively to the culture of the firm with wonderful enthusiasm and genuine commitment to achieve the best. I can't wait for the next two years and that they will continue to bring."
