The Manor Royal Business Improvement District (BID) hosted its annual Manor Royal Matters Conference on November 4, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, drawing over 130 attendees from the Manor Royal community and BID partners.
The event focused on the area's evolving landscape, the BID's performance, and future priorities, while commemorating Manor Royal's 75th anniversary with a special retrospective video.
The conference provided a platform for interactive discussions on key developments shaping Manor Royal. Attendees participated in live polling to share ideas on the area's needs, fostering collaborative insights into its ongoing transformation.
Crawley Borough Council has appointed leading urban design and planning consultancy Farrells, supported by Iceni Economics (viability) and Core5 (cost consultancy), to develop a regeneration and delivery plan for the eastern side of Crawley town centre - ‘Town Centre East.’

E-Veezy is set to open its flagship ultra-high-speed EV charging hub at Northwood Park on Gatwick Road from February 2026. With 27 cutting-edge chargers delivering up to 400kW, the hub will offer some of the fastest public charging available in the UK, supporting the 30,000 daily commuters and shift workers who keep the area thriving.

Carnegie Group Ltd has completed all major works of the full refurbishment of a two-storey building, “The Palindrome”, to become a new advanced manufacturing centre for GEW (EC) Limited, a leading manufacturer of UV curing systems for printing, coating, and converting applications. The overall size of the facility in Crawley is 5,200 m².
Small and independent retailers in Crawley can apply for a Shop Front and High Street Improvement Grant of up to £5,000 to spruce up their shop front and help entice more customers.
London Gatwick appoints new Head of Aviation Development
Jonny joins London Gatwick from Edinburgh Airport, also part of the VINCI Airports and GIP network, where he has served as Head of Aviation since 2022. UK’s only direct service to Sharjah to launch from London Gatwick
Starting 29 March 2026, London Gatwick will offer more connectivity to the Middle East with the launch of twice-daily flights to Sharjah, operated by Air Arabia – the only direct service between this United Arab Emirates destination and the UK.
