You will have probably heard about the Government's new 'National Living Wage' which comes into force on 1 April 2016.
This does not replace the 'National Minimum Wage' and it is not the same as the 'Living Wage'. The distinction between these three different wages - and the circumstances in which they are paid - can be confusing and worrying, given that HMRC has vowed to take "firm action" against employers who fail to pay the correct wage.
