Many of us who work or live in the Gatwick Diamond will have used East Surrey Hospital. More than 700people from the area will spend tonight in the hospital, from new born babies and children, to those seeking emergency care, or people nearing the end of life.

The hospital charity (formerly known as SASH Charity) has changed its name, and created a bold new brand to make it much easier for people to see instantly what the charity does, and how they can support the local hospitals.

The charity is now called East Surrey Hospital Charity, which is deliberately clear, and instantly understandable. Away from East Surrey Hospital itself, the charity also supports services in Crawley Hospital, Horsham Hospital, Caterham Dene, the new community diagnostic centre in the Belfry Shopping Centre (Redhill) and across Surrey & Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. So the charity will also use a parent name of Surrey & Sussex Healthcare Charity.

The charity’s messaging is deliberately bolder too – so it’s clear why this matters. Because the hospitals are here for everyone. When we need them most. And through donations and fundraising, we can make a huge positive impact for people. Right here in the Gatwick Diamond.
