gdb members - asb law strengthens Aviation offering with new appointment

asb law are pleased to announce the appointment of Michael Potter as a Consultant sitting within the Aviation Team.

Michael is an accomplished senior banking and legal professional with over 30 years of experience having worked with global financial institutions such as Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and Citibank as well as leading international law firms Allen & Overy and Dentons. He has a strong record of advising on and executing transactions across a broad range of sectors, asset classes, geographies and deal sizes. With a strong focus on client experience Michael always aims to build meaningful and lasting relationships with clients.

The asb Aviation team has an excellent reputation in the South East region and is ranked as tier 1 in the Legal 500 2020 directory. This year the team has also been promoted to tier 4 for Aviation in the highly competitive London region.

Michael will work closely with Daniel James, Partner and Head of Aviation, to help drive business, extend the team's footprint and continue the strong upward trend. Talking about Michael's arrival, Daniel said "Michael's appointment is a real coup for the aviation and finance teams at asb law. Michael's extensive experience and global contact base will be key in attracting and conducting complex asset finance and corporate finance work".

Talking about his new role, Michael said "I am delighted to be joining this progressive firm and look forward to working with Dan and the rest of the asb team and clients, as well as supporting and further developing the aviation and wider asset and corporate finance practice".
