Local businesses light up St Catherine's Hospice this Christmas

Christmas at St Catherine's is full of small kindnesses that come straight from the heart - from delicious homemade lunches to thoughtful gifts and festive decorations. This Christmas, local businesses (including Richard Place Dobson Foundation, DMH Stallard, Elekta, Forza Doors, Joyce Groundwork, Indigo Life Sciences, Irwin Mitchell, Raven Housing Trust, Roffey Park Institute, Keysource Ltd. and Cleankill Pest Control) rallied together to raise over £10,000 to help provide care for patients and their families.

Each company sponsored £850, the cost of care for one patient at the hospice for twenty-four hours, and their support is symbolised by a decorative wire heart that has been wrapped in festive lights and hung at the front of the hospice for all to see.

Suzanne Davis, Fundraiser at St Catherine's said, "We're so grateful to our local businesses for supporting St Catherine's throughout the year, especially this Christmas. Their love for the local community means that we can be there for families spending their last Christmas together. A huge thank you to all our sponsors."

Sophia Parkes, Tax, Trusts and Estates solicitor at Irwin Mitchell said: "We're delighted to be sponsoring St Catherine's Hospice's Christmas Heart campaign this year. The team work hard every day to give the very best care for the patients and their families, especially after such a trying time with the pandemic, and supporting them during the festive season really makes a difference. I encourage everyone to get involved with helping this wonderful charity over Christmas this year."
