Jack will be working with over 200 Year 9 students from Burgess Hill Academy to engage encourage them to think differently about their futures by drawing upon his own experiences and the challenges he has faced.
In addition to this, 15 students will then be supported by mentors from American Express, who will be offering one-to-one mentoring to build their confidence for the future and to build a pathway into the workplace.
The programme is made up of multiple sessions, including assemblies, workshops and one-to-one mentoring which will begin over the Autumn term. It focuses on self-awareness, resilience, mindset, gratitude, teamwork and employability, which some young people may struggle with.

"Jack has an ability to resonate with every student and member of staff in the room. His extreme honesty, particularly at moments of great vulnerability mixed with comic anecdotes connects with students from all backgrounds and encourages them to think about their aims for the future and how to achieve them.
"The addition of the individual mentoring for selected students by American Express volunteers gives this programme added strength as students look at barriers and ways to overcome them. Staff and students who attended were extremely enthusiastic and can't wait for the next session."
