What is colour accessibility and why is it important?

With over 4.6 billion active users on the web, not everybody has the same experience due to, but not limited to, visual impairments. It is our ethical responsibility as designers and developers to be certain that any digital and printed collateral is accessible to as many users as possible.
Scaramanga's Digital Designer, Ellis Wigley, spends a lot of his time selecting typefaces and colours when developing designs for digital projects and has written this article as a stepping stone to raise awareness of the importance of colour accessibility.
