Support for businesses looking to improve their sustainability

There are currently just under 8,000 businesses within the National Park, with tens of thousands more in surrounding towns and cities across Sussex and Hampshire. The National Park area already contributes around £5.8bn to the UK economy.Businesses have a responsibility to protect the environment and preserve the South Downs National Park. As a result, many businesses are taking active steps to reduce their environmental impact and help protect the area from degradation. This includes reducing their carbon footprint, using sustainable materials, and investing in renewable energy sources. As a means to bring these businesses together, and provide the space for them to connect, share products and services and join forces in their quest for sustainability. South Downs National Park Authority has created a sustainable minded business network called 'Our South Downs'

The network which is free to join, already has over 150 members, and benefits from a monthly newsletter with the resources, knowledge, and support they need to achieve net zero, along with a host of other benefits and access to additional schemes.
With Net Zero being top of the UK Government's agenda, it is vital that businesses start to look at their processes and find ways to adapt for a greener future.
