Air Ambulance announces summer 2026 fundraising events

Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) is proud to unveil its 2026 programme of fundraising events across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

The charity’s events, including Heli Hikes, Family Fun Days and a Charity Golf Day, play a vital role in raising the funds needed to support its lifesaving work.

 

The KSS Heli Hikes offer participants the chance to explore beautiful countryside while raising vital funds. With a choice of a 3-mile or 7.5-mile route, plus a 10 mile route in Kent, there’s an option to suit all abilities. The fully marshalled routes include a snack stop provided by the Rapid Relief Team, with a warm welcome at the finish, where walkers will receive a medal and complimentary drink. Well-behaved dogs are welcome too.

 

There will be something for everyone at the KSS Family Fun Days. Children can learn, explore and play, while families see first-hand how their support helps save lives. Visitors will have the chance to meet the air ambulance crew and see the helicopters up close, alongside lifesaving demonstrations, live music and a range of entertainment throughout the day, delicious food, funfair rides and the Mini Medic mission for young adventurers.

 

The KSS Charity Golf Day will take place on the championship Ian Woosnam Course at Dale Hill Hotel in Sussex. Participants can enjoy an action-packed day of golf, competitions, awards, and food and drink.

KSS is an independent charity that relies heavily on public donations. It costs £57k a day to operate its lifesaving service, with 91% of its regular income raised through the generosity of supporters.

Each day, KSS responds to an average of nine emergency calls, providing advanced pre-hospital emergency care to give people the best possible chance of survival and keep families together.

 

Lauren Simmons, Head of Events at KSS, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming people from across the communities we serve to our events this summer. Our Heli Hikes, Fun Days and Charity Golf Day are all fantastic days out that help raise vital funds for our lifesaving charity.

 

“With your support, we can save more lives and keep more families together. Every ticket sold and every pound raised helps us respond to life-threatening emergencies when every second counts.”
