Sussex sisters are latest Air Ambulance Young Ambassadors

Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) is delighted to welcome two new Young Ambassadors, sisters Eloise and Josephine Corrick from Haywards Heath, West Sussex, as the charity celebrates the fifth anniversary of its Young Ambassador programme.

Eloise, 12, and Josephine, 11, have a deeply personal connection with KSS. In January 2022, KSS crews responded following a cycling road traffic collision involving their father, Daniel Corrick. Despite the specialist emergency care provided, Daniel sadly passed away. Since then, the family has continued to receive support through the KSS Patient and Family Aftercare Service.

The sisters have shown remarkable courage and resilience in the years since their father's death and are now determined to help raise awareness of the lifesaving work carried out by KSS across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

Speaking about her new role, Eloise said: "I'm extremely proud to have this opportunity and advertise this amazing charity, after they did all they could to help my Dad. I am very thankful to everyone who works for this charity."

Josephine added: "I'm very happy to be part of the Young Ambassadors, and I can't wait to help spread awareness about KSS Air Ambulance charity."

The KSS Young Ambassador programme was launched five years ago to give young people with a connection to the charity an opportunity to share their experiences, support fundraising and awareness activities, and inspire others in their communities.

Since its launch, the programme has helped young people become powerful advocates for KSS, sharing the charity's story and highlighting the importance of the emergency medical service it provides.

KSS Patient and Family Aftercare Manager Sarita Taneja said: "Eloise and Josephine have shown such courage since the very sad passing of their lovely Dad. They both have very kind hearts and a willingness to help others. I know their bravery will be inspiring to many other young people. We welcome them both with open arms to our Young Ambassador team."

The sisters join a growing group of young people who help champion KSS's work and support its mission to save lives and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients across the region.

KSS can only continue delivering advanced pre-hospital emergency medical care thanks to the generosity of supporters. Through their new ambassadorial roles, Eloise and Josephine will help inspire others to learn more about the charity and the difference it makes to patients and families every day.
