Tomsetts Distribution shows support for region's charity air ambulance

Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) is more visible on the region’s roads thanks to the generosity of transport company Tomsetts Distribution. The Newhaven-based firm has kindly branded one of its trailers in the colours of the lifesaving charity for the next five years to help increase awareness of its work.

Although based in Sussex, the eye-catching vehicle will be seen across Kent, Surrey and Sussex and as far north as Scotland. As well as being out on the roads, it will also appear at KSS events by arrangement.

The idea came about during a networking event at Plumpton Racecourse organised by the Institute of Directors Surrey and Gatwick Diamond Business. After learning more about the work of KSS, Tomsetts

Managing Director Andrew Tucknott offered the use of a trailer in order to increase awareness of KSS. Artwork prepared by KSS was then printed and applied to the vehicle by Kent-based Signs and Imaging.

Andrew Tucknott commented: “This trailer came about through a chance conversation and a simple idea - but the impact it can make for Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex is what really matters. Their life-saving service deserves all the visibility and support we can give them. If our trailer helps raise awareness whilst it's out on the road network, that's exactly what we hoped to achieve."

KSS Corporate Partnerships Manager Rebecca Ussher said: “We’re incredibly grateful to Tomsetts for this highly visible way of increasing awareness of our lifesaving service. It costs £57k a day for us to continue flying and saving lives, and to do that we need as many people as possible to know about our work, so opportunities like this are really important. We’d love to hear from any businesses with ideas on how to raise funds or increase awareness of KSS.”

Businesses keen to work with KSS should contact corporate@aakss.org.uk or visit aakss.org.uk
