Visitors to Hever, which reopens on 11 February, will be able to support the lifesaving work of KSS with a donation when they book tickets online or purchase them at the gate. The castle hosts a large variety of events including; Cars at the Castle, Homefronts 1940’s event, Craft Fayre and more.
KSS pin badges and trolley coins will be on sale around the 125-acre estate, once the childhood home of Henry VIII’s wife Anne Boleyn, and special KSS/Hever children’s activity packs will be available.
In addition staff from Hever will be organising a number of fundraising events during the year.
Staff from KSS will be providing CPR training to Hever staff as part of the charity’s efforts to create an army of lifesavers across the South East by ensuring as many people as possible are trained in the lifesaving skills of how to give CPR and use a defibrillator.
KSS Corporate Relations Office Kerry Campbell said: “We’re really excited about working with everyone at Hever over the coming year. This iconic building attracts visitors from across the communities of Kent, Surrey and Sussex that KSS serves, so we are looking forward to working with everyone from Hever on a successful collaboration.
“We’re incredibly grateful to all our supporters for their help in keeping us flying and saving lives. We are an independent charity and it costs £57k per day to run our lifesaving service, almost entirely funded through the generosity and support of people within the communities we serve.”
Sarah Cole, Marketing & Communications Manager from Hever Castle, commented: ”When we were considering which charity to support this year, KSS was a clear favourite. Everyone at Hever is looking to working with the team from KSS at all of the fantastic events we have lined up for visitors this year.”
