Air Ambulance Winter Ball 2025: £95k raised by night of elegance, generosity and lifesaving impact

Air Ambulance Charity Kent Surrey Sussex (KSS) is thrilled to announce the success of its Winter Ball 2025, which brought its 35th anniversary year to a close in spectacular fashion by raising an amazing £95k for the lifesaving charity.

Held on Saturday 15 November at stunning Pennyhill Park in Surrey the evening saw over 120 supporters, sponsors, and guests gather for a celebration of compassion, community, and the lifesaving work of KSS.

Hosted by ITV weather presenter James Wright, the event included contributions from KSS Chief Executive, David WelchKSS Doctor Rob Greenhalgh, and KSS Trustee Paul Reynolds, who movingly shared his personal story of survival, as a former patient of the lifesaving charity. Guests enjoyed a gourmet three-course dinner and first-class entertainment from party band Aftersun. A dazzling raffle and silent auction featured prizes such as luxury hotel stays, exclusive experiences and bespoke artwork.

The funds raised by the event will help the charity continue to deliver lifesaving critical care across Kent, Surrey, and Sussex day and night, 365 days a year. Each mission costs approximately £4.2k, and with 91% of income funded by public support, every donation helps to keep KSS ready to save lives and provide the best possible outcomes for patients.

Lauren Simmons, Head of Events at KSS, expressed her gratitude: “We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped to make it an incredible evening — from our dedicated committee to generous sponsors and guests. Your support and enthusiasm made our 2025 Winter Ball truly unforgettable.”

“For 35 years, we’ve been there when the unthinkable happens. Our Winter Ball celebrated not only our lifesaving work but the extraordinary people who make it possible. Your support keeps us flying and saving lives.”

Headline sponsor of the event was Gama Aviation, with additional sponsorship provided by GEW (EC) Ltd, Brodies LLP, Knight Frank, Thorne Group and Black Lion Press.

KSS is very grateful to all sponsors, donors, and guests who made the Winter Ball 2025 a night to remember. Your support ensures that KSS can continue to save lives and ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
