A unique opportunity for fundraising with your friends or colleagues, the Hospital Hurdles is our race for people in pantomime horse costumes, along the prestigious final furlong of Lingfield Park Racecourse - on a raceday!
You will have the opportunity to compete against other local businesses, or your colleagues, in a (frankly ridiculous) pantomime horse costume, in front of a cheering crowd at one of the busiest racecourses in Europe. All while raising money to help our local hospitals do more for people.
Should you decide to make a night of it, all participants get complimentary entry to the evening’s (actual) horse racing for you and a guest. We also have a range of exclusive sponsorship and corporate hospitality options available to purchase for your company or clients. All supporting the charity.
Rules:
- Each pantomime horse must have a minimum of 2 people.
- You must cross the finishing line in costume together.
- Participants must source their own horse costumes.
- The judges decision (for prizes) is final.
- Costumes will ideally be a pantomime horse, but other animals or mythical creatures are welcome (as long as they contain two people).
- Entry costs £50 per 'horse', and includes free entry to the evening's racing for each participant and two guests!
- The aim is to raise lots of money for the hospital charity. So a donations page is required! We have a prize for the top fundraising team.
- Participants must be over 18, and enter the race at their own risk.

Fundraising
Proceeds will be split equally between the children’s appeal, the cancer fund, the neonatal unit, and supporting other ideas from hospital staff.
