Fire Door Carpenter

Shield Build Ltd are looking for an experienced Fire Door Carpenter to join our growing team, working across Sussex, Surrey and surrounding areas.
The role will involve a mixture of fire door installation, maintenance and remedial works within residential blocks, communal areas and commercial properties.
Typical works will include:

Installing new fire door sets
-
Fire door remedial works and upgrades
-
Adjusting door gaps and clearances
-
Installing and replacing hinges, closers, intumescent and smoke seals
-
Fitting compliant ironmongery including locks, letterboxes and drop seals
-
Frame and door repairs
-
Working from fire door inspection reports and remedial schedules
Applicants should have strong carpentry skills, good attention to detail and ideally previous experience working with fire doors.
Fire door qualifications or certification would be an advantage, although further training may be available for the right person.
You must be reliable, professional, able to work independently and take pride in producing high quality compliant work.
A driving licence and own transport are preferred.
Good rates of pay available depending on experience.
Self employed or employed options may be considered.
