On Friday 6 March 2026, St Catherine’s Hospice is bringing the Firewalk back to Crawley for the first time since 2020. Now the local charity is looking for fearless fundraisers to step up and face the flames.
The Firewalk, which is being hosted at Crawley Town Football Club, is a thrilling event that will see participants walk barefoot across a bed of red-hot embers in aid of St Catherine’s. People can take on the challenge individually or with a team from their workplace.
UK Firewalk will be at the event to offer their expert guidance and teach participants the secrets of firewalking before taking those unforgettable steps. No experience needed, just courage, determination, and the drive to raise vital funds for local hospice care.
Brian and Mandy took part in our St Catherine’s Hospice Firewalk in 2020. They said:
“It was an amazing experience with family, friends, and the crowd cheering and clapping us on. It was something we never thought we would get the chance to do, let alone doing it for such an amazing cause. We can’t wait to have the opportunity to do the Firewalk again.”
The hospice is also hosting a lego Walk on the same evening and encouraging children and adults to “lego” of their fears and walk across a path of sharp lego bricks. It’s a safe, exciting, and memorable way for the whole family to get involved in fundraising.
Emma Butler, Events Fundraiser at St Catherine’s said: “Whether you’re walking in memory of a loved one, wanting to push your limits, or a business wanting to challenge your teams, this is the event for you. Every step and every pound raised will help us provide specialist care for someone in your community.”
The hospice is offering an exclusive discount to anyone who signs up before midnight on Tuesday 27 January 2026. Participants will pay just £20 to register. After that, the fee increases to £30.
