Exit on Your Terms: Preparing Your Business, Wealth and Future brings together Samantha Hawkins, Founder and Strategic Adviser at Elevanti Advisory, Nusrat Qureishi, Head of Corporate and Commercial Law at stevensdrake solicitors, and Samantha Kaye, Chartered Financial Adviser at True Potential. Between them, they cover the accounting, commercial, legal and personal sides of an exit in a single day.
The event runs from 10am to 3pm at Roffey Park Venue, Forest Road, Horsham RH12 4TB. It takes place shortly after the Autumn Budget, so attendees will also look at the latest tax changes and what they could mean for their plans.
This is a practical working session rather than a traditional seminar. With the group kept small, the speakers can tailor the discussion to the people in the room and answer individual questions.
The day follows the journey of an exit:
- Preparing the business: exit readiness, the main exit routes and how they compare, the issues that reduce value, and the 2026/27 tax position, including a real-life Employee Ownership Trust case study
- Legal readiness: what buyers look for, the legal issues that can reduce value or delay a deal, and how to prepare for due diligence
- Life after exit: how much you may need personally, retirement planning, pensions, protecting your family and what happens to your wealth after a sale
- A closing panel discussion with all three speakers
Attendees receive an Exit Readiness Scorecard and a legal exit readiness checklist. Lunch and networking are included, and each attendee is also offered a free follow-up consultation.
The event suits owners and directors who may be considering a sale, succession or another exit route, want to understand what their business could be worth, or want to make the business less dependent on them. You don't need to be actively preparing to sell. The earlier planning starts, the more room there is to strengthen the business and shape the outcome.
