Christopher began his career in the aviation sector in 1986 undertaking roles in passenger services, aircraft despatch and operations for ground handling companies and international airlines.  

Following this he was an Officer in the Royal Navy in various warfare roles, leaving the service in 2000 as a Lieutenant Commander to focus on a commercial career in defence and aviation.  

After completing an MBA at the Warwick Business School he became a co-founder of Avtura in 2005. During the last 18 years he has overseen the development and growth of the company’s product portfolio and customer base within the aviation sector, successfully deploying Avtura’s software across 108 airports in 5 continents.  

He is a Member of the Management Group of the Manor Royal BID; a Trustee of The Mary How Trust; a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute; as well as being the GDB Business Person of the Year in 2017.
