Last week, Kingsway Care attended the inaugural Brighton & Hove Care Awards 2026 organised by Partners in Care - Brighton & Hove. As finalists for an incredible five categories we were delighted to be recognised for:

KingswayCARES Ride for Joy, Food and Friendship
A heroes welcome and cheque presentation for £15,331 on arrival in Paddington, London.
12 Cyclists I 4 Countries I 500 km I £15,331
Our 12 cyclists, ranging in age from 22 to 65 and fitness levels from questionable to impressive, powered through the 500km cycle from Eindhoven to Paddington in just four days. And raised an incredible £15,331. Read more

Why did they take on the challenge?
Our Senior CareGiver, Arthur, was the youngest cyclist on the team. After completing the challenge, he explained why the cause was so important to him: "I see first hand how a lack of social interaction can affect people. This challenge was a brilliant way to raise money for such a vital cause." |

“I founded Kingsway Care and couldn’t sit back with everyone else raising the funds. That would be utter laziness. I was physically and mentally exhausted, but proud (that I/we made it in one piece) AND grateful for all the support and donations from so many.”

Food and Friendship Luncheon Club Charity
Last week we were able to present our favourite charity, The Food and Friendship Luncheon Club in Hove, with a cheque for £7500. Caroline, the founder, said this would cover the costs of transport for isolated lunch guests for a whole year.
