Carpenter Box has demonstrated its commitment to recognising and developing talent by making two senior promotions. Andrew Le Fevre has become Client Service Director in the Audit and Assurance Group, and Mason King takes on the role of Associate Director in the Tax Services Group.
Andrew Le Fevre is a Chartered Accountant with 22 years’ experience in the industry. He joined Carpenter Box in 2006, qualifying a year later and focusing on audit and financial reporting within the construction, logistics and commercial property sectors. Latterly, he has also capitalised on his strong interest in the pivotal processes of staff development, training and mentoring, and is now leading on the firm’s oversight of students. He’s introducing new developmental systems and processes, planning pathways, liaising with apprenticeship providers and bringing study skills and behaviour and work development closer together.
Andrew commented: “Supporting my colleagues to develop, grow and achieve has been a source of great reward for me. My new role as Carpenter Box Student Support Team Lead will enable to me to support the next generation of accountants to grow into high quality finance professionals.”
Associate Director Mason King joined Carpenter Box six years ago as a Tax Senior, having newly qualified as a Chartered Accountant, and quickly received several promotions. He works in the Tax Services Group advisory team, helping corporates and individuals across Carpenter Box and StarBox with their tax strategy and reporting. Mason’s work includes advising on group reorganisations, international residency changes and capital gains taxes.
Mason has a particular interest in the media, creative and innovation industries, advising clients on how to best optimise their businesses and maximise claims to creative reliefs such as the Video Games Expenditure Credit. He’s excited to take on the new challenge of growing the creative side of the business. Mason is also the tax team’s crypto asset specialist and supports clients on recording their crypto asset transactions and tax reporting on gains and income.
Hot on the heels of these two senior promotions are another five upwards moves. Kate Scrivins and Azka Khurshid have been promoted to Managers in the Tax Services Group, Dean Backstrom and Jack Searle are now Managers in the Business Services Group, and Neil Nayee becomes an Audit Senior in the Audit and Assurance Group.
Managing partner, Alan Edwards, commented: “Congratulations to all these talented team members. We are incredibly proud of how Carpenter Box creates opportunities for people to reach their potential through growth, training and mentoring, and we look forward to seeing these colleagues continue to develop in their new roles.”
